  • Working onsite for three months at RCI’s Indianapolis, Indiana data center, in a development role, designed,  built and delivered multiple SAS ETL Studio SAS jobs.  These complex ETL processes sourced RCI’s operational systems transactional data, transformed and loaded this information into a MS SQL business intelligence data mart located in Kettering, UK.  Sources of data included Z/OS/DB2 tables, AS400/DB2 and SAS Enterprise data warehouse transactional sources.  Among the near-real time business processes captured:  customer bookings, conformations, cancellations, membership renewals, and various other customer service metrics and financials. Built numerous star schema data warehouse tables using the Ralph Kimbel methodology. Functioned as subject matter expert for all aspects of the SAS BI tools, and RCI operationa data stores.

  • Consolidated Edison NYC- Worked nine months at the client site in NYC programming interfaces to allow a migration of a large financial data warehouse from Z/OS-DB2 to NT-SQL Server. This project involved writing and testing over 100 DB-2 COBOL II programs with utilities that create flat-files that were downloaded and processed as input transactions on a NT-SQL publishing server platform.
  • Bristol Myers Squibb NYC- As a member of a fifty-person project team aided construction of a very large data mart using HP-UNIX/ORACLE 7 relational database technology. Concentrating on the data consolidation of customer and product master tables. Supported data team with through analysis and coding changes that produced design enhancements.
  • Mead Johnson, a division of Bristol Myers Squibb - On site for 5 months at this nutritional formula manufacturer in Evansville Indiana. Performed analysis of sales data in support of a Business Area Architecture engagement. Wrote mainframe ad-hoc queries against Z/OS-DB2 and various other data sources in preparation of the BAA conceptual data design document and data metrics.

·        As a one-man project team migrated over 25 PC/FOCUS sites across the US to mainframe FOCUS in eight weeks. Rewrote FOCUS code and transferred data records to run under Z/OS/TSO. This system recorded over $70 million in receivable accounts to AIG Recovery Inc. Project was completed without travel. Cut over to Z/OS Host was accomplished over three weekends with no interruption in processing to AIG Recovery field offices. Designed and wrote recovery billing system and management reports.
